Blue Bay Village Hotel, Andros Batsi Hotels

Andros is one of the largest islands in the Cyclades. It is the northernmost of the 24 inhabited islands of the Cycladic archipelago. It is a two-hour journey from the port of Rafina, which in turn is half an hour’s drive from Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”.

Gavrio is Andros’s main port, and is located on the island’s west coast. It is about half an hour away from Batsi, Andros’s main tourist resort. Hora, the capital of Andros, is built on the east coast, by the sea. Multiple cultural events are organized during the summer, chief among which are the annual exhibitions at the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Kydoniaios Foundation. Andros is a Cycladic island with its own particular character. The island’s landscape is varied, with beautiful ravines and creeks, arid Cycladic landscapes with the typical cultivation terraces, and charming beaches. It is quite a large island, and can accommodate the interests of all types of visitors.

Batsi is one of the main tourist destinations in Andros. It is built on the south-western side of the island, and is literally hanging on the slopes of a hill that leads to a beautiful small protected port. Batsi is an island village with small white houses and whitewashed streets. It has all the infrastructure of a modern tourist resort, with restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as all manner of stores.
